Jimbo James is the founder of Music is 4 Lovers (MI4L), serving as Editor-in-Chief, Label Head & A&R, Video Producer, Talent Buyer, Event Producer, and Resident DJ.

As a DJ, Jimbo has warmed up dance floors for artists like &ME, Stephan Bodzin, Rodriguez Jr., Archie Hamilton, Visionquest, Steve Lawler, Sébastien Léger, Tim Green, HOSH, and more. He’s played major festivals including Lightning in a Bottle (7x), The BPM Festival (4x), and Desert Hearts, and top venues such as Do Not Sit (Miami), Sound (LA), Outer Heaven (NYC), Vagalume(Tulum), and Midweek (Mexico City).

As MI4L’s label head, Jimbo has released 400+ tracks from global and local talent, including Tiefschwarz, Anja Schneider, Mihai Popoviciu, Timo Maas, Demuir, Audiojack, and Francesca Lombardo.

A prolific promoter, Jimbo has hosted MI4L events since 2011, featuring artists like Tale Of Us, Richie Hawtin, Lee Burridge, Blond:ish, Damian Lazarus, DJ Tennis, Sven Väth, and Âme. MI4L’s Lovelife Parties are famous for their immersive, high-energy themed experiences.
